the story spent too much time on b characters.
and on a damned sloth.
we are reading the book for Atticus, not the boring girl character.
all the wasted time took the time from the main plot and the dealings with Loki and Hel was flat and over too soon.

But just days before his release, Laura and Shadow's best friend are killed in an accident. With his life in pieces and nothing to keep him tethered, Shadow accepts a job from a beguiling stranger he meets on the way home.

the characterisation of the Americans and country in the book is amazing.
but the rest of the book was a waste of time.
because you get no relationship with the gods or Shadow.
just empty talking and no feelings

All of Waterdeep now knew someone was killing the Lords of Waterdeep one by one. Yet that was about where truth ended and speculation - however plausible - began. The broadsheets were full of wild conjecture. Who was behind this? The ousted Lord Neverember? The Zhentarim, the Cult of the Dragon, or some other Outland Power? The Xanathar? Some cabal of guilds or nobles planning a coup? The rumors would rage on whether the Open Lord Laeral Silverhand did something or not.

When the goddess of magic was murdered, Elminster’s world shattered. Once the most powerful wizard in the world, immortal, beloved of the goddess of magic, and the bane of villainy, he is now a tired old man. He is powerful but mortal, and with all the enemies a man who makes a habit of saving the world tends to accumulate. To make matters worse, Elminster has needs - feeding powerful magic items to the Simbul, his lover, is the only thing that keeps her sane - but their increasingly risky collection leads his enemies right to him.

When a Druid has lived for 2,000 years like Atticus, he's bound to run afoul of a few vampires - make that legions of them. Even his former friend and legal counsel turned out to be a bloodsucking backstabber. Now the toothy troublemakers - led by power-mad pain-in-the-neck Theophilus - have become a huge problem requiring a solution. It's time to make a stand.

good book but all the following of extra characters is destroying the book.
I want to read about Mr. Druid and hound
... and not hippie girl with Daddy issues and hound or a grumpy man.
I had to jump over so many chapters of the book that I missed half the book.

I won't be reading this again

if the last book will follow at least 3 characters I won't be reading that either
