This first installment of the Cliff Weller mystery series opens with a down-on-his-luck Cliff drinking his blues away at Nicky Congo's bar. But the gearshift of his luck slams into fast forward when a baffling but attractive woman seeks his help in locating a runaway teenager. Maybe it was the wad of cash she flashed or the scent of her perfume - either way, against his better judgment, Cliff was compelled to take on the case. But, of course, not all is as it seems.Through his investigation, Cliff uncovers the Geminus Corporation, a sinister organization.

The story seemed a bit rushed but as a fan of David Ault I still enjoyed it. This is more than an audio book, it has a full cast with sound effects and music.

Their mission was to recover an ancient derelict from the farthest edge of the Sol system. What they've found could spell the end of humanity. Trapped on the Mira, Corporal Kalimura must lead her squad of injured marines to safety. But, aboard the derelict, every shadow is a possible threat, and around every corner lurks another hazard. Without life support or gravity, and only their suit lights to see by, they must explore the ancient wreck to find a way to communicate with their ship and escape their hellish prison.

Great book can't wait for the next one. This was awesome. I couldn't stop listening. I just wish the final book was out so I could find the series.
