I like Barbara Rosenblat, but the story was so boring I couldn't finish. I was probably on p. 150 and the main character still hadn't called the police after finding the body on p. 10.

I read the book when it was first published and wanted the audio version as I use audio books to help me sleep. Unfortunately the reader was so bad I couldn't listen to more than a few chapters.

Lady Rose Summer, the wayward Edwardian debutante who keeps getting mixed up in disreputable adventures, would swear she is not a jealous woman. After all, she knows her engagement to private detective Captain Harry Cathcart is only a ploy to keep her parents from shipping her off to India. But then Harry's latest client, Dolores Duval--a vision of curves with a seductive French accent--starts appearing everywhere at his side.

The only person half way interesting was the companion to Lady Rose. Lady Rose wasnt allowed to do anything because she's an unmarried lady & not sure why she's in the story.

What did you like best about Behold, Here's Poison? What did you like least?

The good news is Georgette Heyer mysteries have been updated. The bad news is they are all read by the same reader & she isn't very good -- she reads so slowly I lost interest in the story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Enjoyed the story, great twist at the end.

Would you be willing to try another one of Ulli Birvé’s performances?

NO

Was Behold, Here's Poison worth the listening time?

No

Any additional comments?

Enjoyed Georgette Heyer's The Grand Sophie & wished the reader had been used for Heyer's mysteries also.
