The Third Option is a plea on behalf of a brokenhearted God who, scripture teaches, is frustrated with those of us who claim to believe in him but are really “faking the faith”. McPherson argues that we must rise above the issues that divide us and be part of something bigger. The Third Option challenges both believers and seekers to fully embrace God’s goodness and power. McPherson believes that instead of choosing one of two sides, there is a third option - one that’s proven to bring people together, mend relationships, and promote genuine peace in communities.

If God can take David - the invisible eighth son of a forgotten family - and turn him into a king, just imagine what magnificent plans he has for redeeming your life. David was born a number eight - a hidden gem, often overlooked and undervalued by everyone except for God. For David, being a number eight seemed like a curse until the day God transformed him from the unknown eighth son of Jesse into the much-honored king of Israel.

One of the comedy world's fastest-rising stars tells his wild coming of age story during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa and the tumultuous days of freedom that followed. Noah provides something deeper than traditional memoirists: powerfully funny observations about how farcical political and social systems play out in our lives.

I loved this book it put a humorous connotation on to some of the major issues that we have with racism and colorism domestic violence the mindset of the hood and people who are grew up in extreme poverty and not having resources that can help them get out of those situations. I am appreciative of how honest and raw the stories were in this book because there's a lot of kids that grow up may not be in apartheid but there is a lot of kids that are not in South Africa even here in the United States that grow up in that framework of poverty and abuse that is normal to them and people from the outside my thing in this is not normal this is weird and or this is wrong but it is indeed the reality that most people face so I really enjoy how Raw and honest mr. Noah was in this book. I do say this is a must-read because it makes you think what can I do to help make this world a better place for us all to live in as a human race rather than using the different shades of or skin two separate us from being genuine human beings that love and support each other

This is an amazing book the love of God
It is just so revealing on the depth of God's love for us that no matter what we do how unworthy we think we are he saying but love it I'm here and it is just a beautiful story I had to take cry brakes to give me time to weep and the revelations that came out of this book.
I highly recommend for a book club a study another look at the book of Hosea quite like that but it is utterly beautiful

This was such an on time purchase for me to step into the role that I have to lead and birth and nurture a new ministry.
The most profound thing that I got out of the book with some memorable quotes I'm just going to put out there where he said "the poorest man in the world is not the man without money but the one that lost their vision" found in the Book of Psalms where it says that the poor man and the rich man has one thing in common that God gave them both sight. some prosper and some are impoverished because of how they see powerful statement.

" right is defined by purpose whatever gets you to your purpose is right for you"

my favourite takeaway is when he spoke the conception of Jesus with Mary when the Angel came to visit Mary to let her know that she was chosen she asked how can she birth this baby seeing that she knew not a man that she was a virgin he made the statement "God only deals with virgin someone who has never done it before ie you need the Holy Spirit and in need your Elizabeth to help you cultivate your vision and bring it into fruition.
