In all his years in the Chicago Fire Department, Lieutenant Reed Solliday has never experienced anything like this recent outbreak of house fires - devastating, vicious, and in one case, homicidal. He has another problem - his new partner, Detective Mia Mitchell. She's brash, bossy, and taking the case in a direction he never imagined. Mia's instincts tell her the arsonist is making this personal. And as the infernos become more deadly, one look at the victims' tortured faces convinces her and Reed that they must work closer to catch the killer. With each new blaze, the villain ups the ante, setting firetraps for the people Reed and Mia love.

Gawd! There’s no plot, unless you count sex as one! A 11th grade English paper had more imagination than this poorly written book. How it ever got published I can only begin to guess. Not worth a listen even with it being free/ or included in the romance package. Maybe audible is just shoving poorly written books in this package as a way to actually pay for these books?

Ok so the first of the book was promising... then it drug on and on and on......! Come on really there is only so much filler someone can before you just put the book down. I really just let it play and came back and knew I hadn’t missed a thing!
The main character Elizabeth I thought was going to be a good smart because of the previous book, but nope! She’s as as dumb as a box of rocks! And whatever the boyfriend not boyfriends name is really? He is not someone I would I want to even write- if I could write- ok so if you “claim your in love with someone and all of a sudden there thrown into the spot light of the media, you would think the first course of action would be is to contact them no he doesn’t! So he kinda fails the whole book.

When you listen to this audiobook, you will make many assumptions. You will assume you are listening to a story about a jealous ex-wife. You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement - a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love. You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle. Assume nothing. Twisted and deliciously chilling, The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage - and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.
