Marine Lance Scipio's is thawed again to a fate worse than death and made an officer. His story continues but major questions from the first book are barely alluded to in this second book in the Sleeping Legion series

In 2441, an entire Marine company was executed with the exception of Captain Grimgerde and Sergeant Lance Scipio, the usual punishment for running in the face of the enemy. Former Marine Jason McKay thinks his first assignment as a military intelligence officer - as the head of a protection detail for a Republic senator's daughter on her humanitarian mission to the star colonies - will be a boring waste of time. Until Aphrodite, the agricultural colony they're touring, is invaded by an inhuman enemy that may threaten Earth, and McKay and his people are trapped far behind enemy lines.

Be careful where you listen to this and keep a handkerchief on hand. Sometimes I laughed so hard I had to wipe my eyes and I would have been in trouble if I was trying to drive while listening. I can also be embarrassing to burst out laughing while riding public transit. The full cast recording with narration by Manuel to fill in any blanks. The Germans episode is the best of the series and, IMHO, one of the best examples of British comedy.

Devora Zack, an avowed introvert and a successful consultant who speaks to thousands of people every year, found that most networking advice books assume that to succeed you have to become an extrovert. Or at least learn how to fake it. Not at all. There is another way. This audiobook shatters stereotypes about people who dislike networking. They’re not shy or misanthropic. Rather, they tend to be reflective - they think before they talk. They focus intensely on a few things rather than broadly on a lot of things. And they need time alone to recharge.

Great story, interesting 'Nature versus Nurture' spin. I was really happy with Layla's book time. She's been such a integral character to the whole, having a major positive impact on so many of the Brotherhood but always getting the wrong end of the stick.

Trey Stone, relaxing and checking off items on his 'got done' list, has his world turned upside-down. He's arrested, PB and J are taken from his side and just when he thinks nothing else can go wrong, he finds out nearly every friend he had, has left or been forced out of the Navy and Marines. Cashiered, alone and dumped at a space port, Trey Stone's life has become the punch line of a 'things can't get any worse' joke.

The primary characters are maturing, secondary characters are fleshed out well, and the action keeps on rolling. The series is showing lots of legs and I can't wait for the next one
