It wasn't enough that I own this book in e-book and paperback form, when the invite to receive an arc of the audio version came about I jumped at the chance. IT ROCKED! John Solo does such a great job with the voices and personalities of the characters and made a great book even better.

Once again TM Smith wrote an amazing book and Nick J. Russo did an amazing job narrating it. You get absorbed listening to all the characters and cheering them on. This is definitely another audio book that will be added to the listen again pile.

Taylor Langford’s world is torn apart when he is only 13 years old - his parents killed, leaving him alone and orphaned. With no living relatives, he’d certainly be another statistic if not for the intervention of the policeman who found Taylor in the crawl space where his mother hid him that fateful night. Frank Moore is a rookie with the Dallas Police Department when he and his partner answer the call in Devonshire. Over the years, Frank becomes a permanent fixture in Taylor’s life.

Such a wonderful book with great audio. I loved Survivor when I read it and I had high hopes that the audio on this would be great, but it wasn't... it was perfect. Every characters voice matched what I had imagined. I will be listening to this again and again.

After devoting 18 years of his life to the US Navy, Petty Officer First Class Shane Parker is struggling with the very real possibility of becoming unnecessary. If he doesn't make chief petty officer before he's 20 - and it doesn't seem likely that he will - he'll be retired from active service and placed on the Fleet Reserve list until his mooring lines are officially cut forever. While it would all be very honorable and ceremonial, he simply wasn't civilian material.

The quick story in Micah's Soldier was a short, cute read and the narrator that did it did a wonderful job.

I loved the Treading Water story but the narration flopped for me. Between hearing saliva smacking sounds and papers rustling in the background then odd pauses and then starting a new chapter with no pause at the end of the last one I had to push myself to finish because it was so distracting.
