Having the emotional intelligence to influence other people is an essential life skill. The level of your communication is in direct relation to your level of success, wealth, and even happiness. All of the greatest achievements of man started out as an idea in the mind of one man or woman. However, without leveraging the collective power of other people, most of them would never have seen the light of day. Craig Beck has devoted the last two decades to studying the communication secrets of genuinely successful men and women.

Another great book from Craig Beck. He's obviously well researched and the combination of his expertise in Psychology, NLP, and Behavioral Economics show through.

Bulletproof Persuasion provides an entertaining overview of the hidden forces (laws) of persuasion. He is correct that these forces, like gravity, work whether you like them. Craig is somewhat notorious for repeating sections of material he's already published... this book contains a few. I'm sure he has good reason for this, but I've docked a star on story here.

Overall, this is great content and fantastic narration! Bulletproof Persuasion does great job of staying out of the minutia while pointing out what you need to know. This is especially true in the area of body language and NLP. Craig has done the work so you don't have to. This content is highly valuable and certainly worth the credit!

P.S.- If you take nothing else from this book other than a better understanding of the Law of Scarcity you'll be just fine :)

Life is similar to a train journey. Most people on the train are merely passengers; they are simply going where life is taking them. They are not in charge of their speed, direction, or final destination. Be the driver, not a passenger! These inspirational and rare people are responding to life, not just reacting to life. Unstoppable, by renowned motivational speaker Craig Beck, is a robust road map for success, happiness, and abundance.

Craig Beck is one interesting fellow. This book provides a glimpse of the world through his eyes and it's a truly wonderful and enriching experience. I ran into his work unintentionally and am extremely pleased I did!

His influences are apparent as he'll build on and often reiterate much of Tony Robbins (Primarily Personal Power II) as well as Zig Ziglar. To give him credit he will righteously reference them as well as other motivational legends. In further studying Craig's work, he is a bit notorious for repeating material he's already published. I've docked a star on story for that reason. That said, while some of this book isn't 100% original it's his new perspective on old concepts and the recap of what's needed to being UNSTOPPABLE that make this one of the best motivational books I've read!

If you're new to personal growth (and looking for 1 book that really sums it up) this is a must read, and if you're seasoned this will still be an enlightening experience. His narration is also an absolute pleasure to listen to. Highly recommend this gem and please help me spread the word!!!

Disclaimer- I've not read The Bulletproof Diet so don't know how they compare, however, I loved this one.... Also, he does get a little techy so be ready to have google handy.

That said, I'd originally heard of the Bulletproof diet mid ’16 and dismissed it just like I do all other diets! I then read this last November and have been drinking Bulletproof coffee every morning since. My only regret is I didn’t jump on the bandwagon sooner!

For Bulletproof newbies, Head Strong recommends you eat a modified ketogenic diet and also goes into a plethora of additional detail (you must read the book here) regarding what we can do to fuel our mitochondria. Just by following the Head Strong program to an >80% degree the results have been dramatic! My girlfriend and I are mostly Bulletproof especially Sunday through Thursday. We’ve both noticed a significant increase in both physical and mental energy. We’ve also seen excess body weight literally fall off and food cravings mostly stop. I recommend everyone incorporate as much of this book (especially the diet portion) into their lifestyle as possible. Finally, to end the post, if you still think saturated fat is worse for you than sugar stop being silly!

Really enjoyed this extremely entertaining listen on effective negotiation tactics and human behavior patterns. The content is highly applicable to numerous types of human interaction.

I hardly ever read sales books because so much is either outdated or the same. I’ve found this book to have profound implications applied to selling that certainly act contrary to the “Client is Always Right” garbage that may have worked in the 1980's. This will help you cut through the crap (of any interaction) and ripen conditions for a true win/win to occur. It’s helped me to identify the type of people I truly enjoy working with and helped me to effectively leave the table on those who may not be a good fit. It’ll help you save time through identifying the true motives and negotiation style of the other party.

Chris Voss does an exceptional job of translating extreme life or death scenarios into useful business tools. I read this book thinking he must be oversimplifying, but as I apply these tactics I’m learning he’s probably just this good. His methods are simple, effective, mostly clean, and far less manipulative than some other negotiation material that has left me wanting to shower after reading. The tools he describes that aren’t necessarily 100% clean, such as mislabeling, he does so in a way that will prevent them from being used on you! Regardless, this book has vast applications and is highly relevant to business today.

We're in the middle of an epidemic of average. So-called "normal" people get up every day, go to work, do what's asked of them, leave promptly at five, and return home to sit on the couch and watch TV. Society tells us that this is what it means to lead a balanced life. Don't stress too much or work too hard. Your career isn't everything. But Grant Cardone thinks this preoccupation with balance has really just given an excuse to be mediocre.

In terms of encouraging positive behavior and promoting peak mental state, Grant Cardone is someone we should all be watching! He elaborates on the root cause of the beliefs that drive his winning mentality (and mega successes) in this 240 page wake up call to what’s really important.

Maybe it’s because I relate well to his personality, but everything he said deeply resonated and encouraged thought on where I’m focused. He certainly calls out the BS we tell ourselves and useless garbage we allow exposure to on a day to day basis. The way he defines obsession as almost a virtue that should be fed was refreshing and insightful. I love how unconventionally accurate this advice is! I recommend this book for anyone committed to upping their game.

A 4.6 average with 15k ratings? Really?!?!

First off, prior to knocking this book let me say I like Mel Robbins a lot and think she is super entertaining to listen to. With that said, there is no reason this tool should even be a book!

To sum it up... If you have an impulse count 54321 then act on a goal. While an interesting tactic, and can be useful, her implications are far over reaching! Her claim this tactic activates the prefrontal cortex in some hack like fashion is way over simplified and unfounded at times. However, I guess if her method inspires action and gets you going that's the main objective she's intending to accomplish. Still she is overreaching!

If Mel wasn't SO DARN ENTERTAINING I would have turned this off in 20 minutes, however, I was able to make it through most of the book because of it. I do see how the 54321 thing is helpful, but come on now!

More than ideas, though, Mad Genius is about how ideas are born and the role they play in entrepreneurial thinking. This is a manifesto for managers who want to become leaders and leaders who want to blow up mediocrity.

Humm, the style of this book took some getting used to. There are parts where I had to keep reminding myself that I am listening to a "Manifesto of Entrepreneurs" because that is exactly how it's structured. However, if you can make it through some of the rants and over reading Randy Gage delivers some content that is, in fact, MAD GENIUS! That is why I'm giving the overall & story 4 stars.

A few of the points he makes on the mindset required for anyone innovating (entrepreneur, intrapreneur, business development) are awesome and key pieces of material that makes the book worth listening to. However, I would have probably preferred to read the hard copy.

Was originally a bit skeptical just by the title and some of the claims. However, I was very pleasantly surprised by this book!

If you are someone who is motivated and enjoys fully committing to an objective, but gets overwhelmed or burnt out this book is for you! They add clarity to the (stress + rest = growth) formula in a way I haven't heard before. They really hammer home this concept and, after reading this book, righteously so.

Love how they also incorporate the most recent science behind the psychology of performance and how to train your brain to think in a way that supports it. Well done!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Already have, and almost as if I'm getting royalties on it. I have probably utilized Audible's 'First Book Free' gift policy to share this book with over 15 people. And, those are just the ones who don't have an audible account.

Sealing Fire does an impeccable job of outlining the components of flow (and peak experience) in a way that is useful and relevant. It creates a level of awareness to the fundamentals of human performance that would be overlooked otherwise. Furthermore, it references some of the most credible work in the field of psychology (Maslow, Csikszentmihalyi, Etc.) and draws conclusions that are brilliant. I'm currently listening to this book for the third time.

If you're someone who's reading to reinforce established beliefs, unable or unwilling to hold conflicting viewpoints then this book isn't (and probably wasn't intended) for you. This book does challenge the status quo in a way that can be considered offensive to some more traditional or conservative philosophies.

Overall, Kotler & Wheal killed it in this well written and must-read masterpiece that'll probably take some time to get the attention it deserves.
