It was one freaking kiss with a stranger. I wasn't looking for a hero the day Brent Eden charged into my life. He saw a damsel in distress facing humiliation. We played pretend. Swore I was his. Baited sweet chaos. Blew apart everything. My dating disaster? Gone. Our kiss? Electric. Divine. Toe-curling. His mistake? Oh, boy. Dropping the ultimate F-bomb: fiancée. Especially when my gossipy cousin tells the whole family.

If you like the Grizzly MC Club series, this is not the same as those at all. It does, however, take place in the same world, and our hero has a history with the club, which was quite interesting to hear/learn about, and while the plot was simple, it worked. This is a good read for anyone looking for a light, sexy, and somewhat emotionally charged read.
The only problem I had with the book was the fact that the heroines family is putting so much pressure on her to get a man. And it wasn’t cute or funny at all, it was actually really annoying, and it felt like the story was telling the reader that being independent is great and you should go for it, BUT you will also need a man to make whatever you do valid and to be taken seriously. Naturally this rubbed me the wrong way, and thus! My real rating is 2 1/2 stars.
So if you want a somewhat light read with great sex scenes and great narrators, pick up this book!

This was wonderfully written! The world building was great, the rules of the fae so intriguing and refreshing, with wonderful characters that upon meeting one another, learn to open their hearts and grow, becoming better people by themselves and with one another. *sigh* I can not wait for the rest of the series to come out on audible, seriously this is such an amazing world that Sinclair has created and i need more! Audible get the rest of the series!

***SPOILER TRIGGER WARNING***
In the first 20 mins of listening to this audiobook, there is a heart breaking scene between our heroine and a young boy who painfully and tragically dies in her arms, thus getting the ball rolling for the story. Just be prepared to cry, I did.

From start to finish, this book had me hooked. It starts out pretty well, Daisy is planning on leaving her father, she does, she starts a new life with a great roommate, you get to see her live life as a broke mid 20s gal in this day and age, the struggles of not knowing basic things because of the way she grew up, her first time with things, like falling in love with Nick who just so happens to be a hit man for higher, who is in the middle of a job when he spots her. ;) And may I just say, Nick is the most dramatic man I have ever read of, but in a wonderfully caring, and funny way. Honestly, a little slow halfway through, but the characters are what really matter and even the most mundane things they do are wonderful to read about.
Oh! And if you don’t mind a little murder and blood, give this book a try!

But Marie just left her abusive jerk of an ex-husband and she's not looking for a new man. The humor was great, and while I didn’t like Horse, (too bossy and controlling for my taste), I looooved Marie and her love for her brother, and the love that grew from learning about the club, and bonding with the old ladies. Can’t wait to start the next book, and can’t wait for the next adventure! (though a little more story would be amazing, that way the story and sexy times would be a little more well balanced; just saying)

Lesbian Werewolves, Lesbian Vampires, god, I just love lesbian anything. The narrator was fantastic, always love her readings and all the voices she can do, and if you are looking for a book that has a good amount of sex scenes with plot, I’d advice this book, but again I must warn, there is a lot of dirty, great sex scenes, and I am so happy to hear this is a series!
Now, while Sylvan and Drake kind of fall into instalove, for werewolves, it’s actually kind of well paced. No real complaints, but in the next book, I hope to get even more world building because I actually am very intrigued to see more of the were world, vamps, and the fairies. (but especially the vamp world)

God I seriously just love this small, collage campus world we are teleported into, that’s so realistic, I feel like I’m back in collage sprinting to and from classes frantically, while somewhere near by a love story such as this could be unfolding, and I would be none the wiser.
Seriously read this book, and then go watch the movie on Passionflix, cause as sure as hell that’s what I’ll be doing!

***RANT AND SPOILERS READ TOWARDS BOTTOM FOR MY CONCLUSION WHICH IS SPOILER FREE PAST THE DOTS***

The fact that everyone is so stupid, the the “heroin” (if you can call her that), is so passive and just goes with the flow, no matter what, AND is multiple times raped by her fiancé, in detail might I add, and has no clue that the psycho who loves raping her, killing people for sport, (and yes she has seen the way he kills and how much he enjoys it) is shocked when it is revealed by her long lost lover (who everyone thought died over a decade ago), that her fiancé is the one who killed her twin brother back in the day, to gain power in the mafia family, And to get rid of her true love so she would have to depend on him (psycho) and only him. Which she did! She passively, for 12 yrs let him rape, abuse, terrify her, and basically own her simply because she had no back bone, and there was no one else left for her to love but him...that’s it.

She easily could have told her father about the abuse, because he has power, but nope, she says she can’t cause it would upset him too much. *heavy eye roll* But suddenly, with the arrival of the mysteries homeless man who saves her, for the first time ever, she starts slightly breaking rules, and going out past her curfew...at 25.

And when the “big” reveal of who the psycho who killed her brother is revealed, the questions of, ‘how can this be, he was always a little off, needed me to quiet the voices in his head sure, and maybe he liked killing a little too much but he can’t be the killer!’ -______- Bitch are you serious? Then when the fiancé snaps and kidnaps her and has her driver, at gun point drive them to his hide away place along the—ocean or some place, the whole ride there, no one takes out a cell phone and sends a message or dials 911 secretively? And now that I mention it, did anyone Ever use a cell phone? I know there were house phones, but ugh! Now I’m going to have to rage skim through and see if anyone had cell phones and also, the second she realized that her dead lover was still alive and that it really was him, confronting him and reminding him as soon as possible would have been the best bet, because obviously when she was told years ago that he died in a fire, and that the body was never recovered, that should have told her that someone was trying to cover up the god damn truth, and tried to get rid of her lover. I mean...this isn’t rocket science. Thinking and using your head for simple critical thinking is easy.

In conclusion, the story would have been better if not so predictable from page 1, and getting from point A to point B was like pulling teeth in how much the story dragged on and on. And it didn’t help that apparently no one had critical thinking capabilities and was able to clearly tell who the psycho/bad guy was. Ugh just—no. Just a Big fat NOPE to this book and the author. The only good parts: the death scenes, fights, and the narrators’ voices.

The first 2 books are about King and Doe, and let me inform you that while the first book was great, the 2nd book was really fucken great.
The first book starts off a little slow with info dumping and introductions to the characters, but after the first 30 mins, it begins to snowball and does.not.stop. And just as book 1 reaches it’s peak moment, we are pulled back from diving off the edge, into anxiety ridden oblivion. Which was bad, but good all at once, because it leaves you craving more. So when you start book 2, you are right where you left off, and honestly, it was smart for the author to divide it into 2 books.

Now for the story, great writing, loved the characters (most of them anyways), the world building was realistic and for the first book, it gives you more of that bubble feeling where book 2 expands into another branch of the same world, but from a different view and it’s awesome. Fangirling aside, the 2 things I did not like about these books were King himself. In the beginning (basically all of book 1), I was really leaning towards despising King cause he was arrogant, bossy, mean, and way too moody for my taste, BUT as the book progressed and we got into book 2, he grew exponentially. Remembering who he was, what his purpose was, and caring about others well beings while still being—well, a bad guy. (lol) Don’t get me wrong, Doe grew as well, same as King, though her progress was faster, but then also slower because by book 2 she was having to once again, re-re-figure herself out, and let’s not forget that she was a badass, because she was surviving while having memory loss, WHILE dealing with 2 very different worlds with their own set of rules and people who of course knew her past self or present self....so when you really think about it, King still isn’t all that impressive with his growth...hm. Oh and dislike #2 is a spoiler so follow the dots if you want the spoiler.

Peppy is killed and I cried and cried and was in very deep denial till halfway through the 2nd book...ya.

Now THIS is how dark romances should be done! We had suspense, tragedy, abuse, true love, obsession, heart ache, you name it and it was in there cranked up by 10. The emotions were so raw and powerful and real, that it was hard to not be overtly attached to the characters. Everyone was well rounded, with depth that we get hints at, but wouldn’t know more unless given their stories, and to be honest, I really want Animal’s story next. That to the side, this was a fun and great read about a scared little boy who meets a loud mouth little girl, is basically saved by her, and from that day forward, their lives are intertwined.
