When I realized I was down to two hours remaining, I texted my sister (she's reading the Cartel), and said, "What am I going to do now?!" Where do you go from here?... Well, I guess I'll have to listen to it again, when she starts it, so we can freak out together!

Loved it! The description doesn't do it justice. The Gift of Time drew me in and took me on an amazing adventure. But more than that, the depth of the story, the lives of the characters, were so rich, that I lived with them for too short a time. I think this book will stay with me for a long time.

What a remarkable, original, and fulfilling story! This was my first read from Octavia Butler. I can't wait to read more of her books. while reading this, I did some research about the author. Her own story seems remarkable as well as her books.

OK story if you're not looking for brilliant writing. Would have read the second book, until i saw the same narrator listed. I really didn't like the narrator, and i prefer male narrators over female ones. Boring.

I have an inkling that this may be a good read. However, I've been spoiled by some really excellent narrators on Audible. Kresly Cole's, Robert Petkoff for instance, is amazing for a great paranormal romance.

This narrator makes the characters sound like they're in their 50's. Has little character or personality in his reading and makes it so bland, boring and annoying, It's painful to listen. Fortunately for Feehan, it seems I'm the minority in this case. I wonder if it may be that most of the listeners haven't experienced a really good story-teller?

I see he's the narrator for the rest of the series, so I won't be listening. Save it for the Kindle.
