The news is full of disturbing events today. There's war and rumors of war. There's the false recovery of the economy. Faith in the US economy is extremely low. Foreign banks have either slowed their purchases of Treasury Bonds or, in a few cases, begun unloading them. We have a current election that is rife with corruption, extreme partisanship, and outright fraud. It would appear the left in the country is ready to do about anything to see their candidate elected.

America is in the thrall of a full-scale socioeconomic breakdown. The stock market plummets, hyperinflation destroys the value of the dollar, and the population, unprepared for hardship, panics. Practically overnight, the high technology infrastructure and chains of supply collapse and wholesale rioting and looting grip every city. Law enforcement, transportation, electricity, fuel, and medical supplies are all in the past now, as the country staggers beneath its own weight.

Again a info filled book with a good story.
If you're a Christian, it's definitely for you. If you're anything other, get used to constant religious influence throughout. Like a Rush song, if you can ignore that aspect, it's a great book.

Would you listen to Patriots again? Why?

Yes, as it is a great story. Very in-depth and full of nuggets of food for thought for those interested in the survival lifestyle.

What did you like best about this story?

The depth of the characters, the storyline and the hidden knowledge laced throughout the book.

What aspect of Dick Hill’s performance would you have changed?

Nothing. He gets the job done.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not specifically no.

Any additional comments?

Heavily laced with the words of the almighty Christianity, prayer, and it slows the story at points. But to each his own.

Within every abandoned liner and carrier lurks a potential horde, safety can never be taken for granted, and death and turning into one of the enemy is only a moment away. Yet every ship and town holds the flickering hope of survivors. My only issue, being former military and having worked in aviation, is the narrator doesn't know military lingo. Often referred to helicopters as "hellos" instead of "he-lows" is something that triggers my ocd. Otherwise, a great series so far. I'm already heading into the next...
