The study of budo, or the Japanese martial arts for self-cultivation, is a lifelong path toward perfection of character. Here, Dave Lowry, a sword master who has practiced and taught budo for over 40 years, addresses the myriad issues, vagaries, and inconsistencies that arise for students of karate-do, judo, kendo, kenjutsu, aikido, and iaido as their training develops.

As one who has been involved in the martial arts for many years, it's interesting to hear what someone else's view of the 'Budo' means to themself. While I had several issues and disagreements with this book, there were areas where I did find agreement on. So, to each their own.

The intelligence agencies and military services involved include CIA, DIA, NSA, DEA, the navy, air force, and army - and even the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Now, for the first time, New York Times best-selling author Annie Jacobsen tells the story of these radical, controversial programs.

I first read this book years ago. Had to sleep with lights on! Scary! These people are very credible! I've researched and followed this couple for years! I can personally attest to many of their findings due to personal experience. Warning, do not listen to this if you are easily frightened! I had to sleep with the lights on for about a good month after having first read this in book form. Audio is just, if not as scary. Even after having listened to this audio many times, I still get the creeps at times. I would not recommend listening to this if you're in a negative state of mind, as that alone could open you up to suggestive ideation, which can at the least cause your mind to play tricks with you. The subject matter covered here, is very real I can assure you. I would not recommend to the feint of heart.

This book was not what I expected, but nonetheless I found it very informative. I've always known America was not created as a "Christian nation" at least as we have been taught. Our country has since 'Day 1' always had an occult history, most of which has been suppressed.

I was not very thrilled with the 'narrator's voice, ' finding it at times a hindrance to getting through this read, luckily the 'content ' is what got me to the finishing line. There were a few sections in the middle of the book which I found to be 'dull. ' Otherwise I may have very well have given this book a '5 star' rather than overall 4 star rating.

If you're interested in something 'different' I'd recommend this book. If you're into 'history, ' again I'd also recommend this book. Especially knowing how most of what we've been 'taught in schools is wrong!'
