It starts with buried secrets and dangerous desires...and ends with the three of us bound together with a hateful love sharper than any barbed wire. Wow, just wow. This story, although a little unrealistic is crazy good and crazy hot. It's a well done romance between three people - all very developed and complex, who you will fall in love with. Although a little unconventional, I think it brings to life the complexity of love. I'm immediately on to book two and excited the story will continue from a different characters point of view.

I adore Sawyer Bennett books, the Wicked Horse series being my favorite. I too, enjoyed this story but I just didn't "feel" the tension and romantic development between these two characters the way I usually do in her books. Although the sex scenes were good, well written, and quite naughty, there was just a little something missing for me. I would still recommend the book as the narration is great and the story overall is good it just seems more like a "romance package" book. I give it an A- instead of her than her usual A+ but I'm still moving on to the second book in the series. So do yourself a favor and pick this up when you want awesome settings for some really great sex scenes including a see through balcony on the 46th floor of a Las Vegas hotel!

This book was on my wish list for over a year, the cover kept putting me off somehow although the reviews were good. I'm glad I finally took the time to listen. What a great book with a fun cast of characters, a good story line and a HEA. The narrator is OUTSTANDING. I could clearly tell who was "speaking" throughout the book and the cast of characters is quite big so this was a feat. The female lead Diane, was believable, sweet, brave and often quite funny even after finding herself in precarious situations. The British accented Spade was the perfect counterpart with a well developed backstory and ingrained chivalry. I did find it ironic, the first drop of crimson did not work out to well for Spade, hence the title of the book. If you like human/vampire couples, demon chasing casts of characters and a HEA, you'll truly enjoy this story.

What a thought provoking story. I grabbed this book because it was on the featured five star list and I wanted something different. Score 10 for those who came before and recommended this book. The narrator definitely makes the story even more amazing so KUDOS to Christopher Lane! Included in this book: virtual worlds, virtual people, real people with real feelings (or lack there of), a crazy aunt, a boy who's a girl, a 10 year old with a PHD, several cats, crows, dinosaurs and humpback whales, loss, regret, sacrifice, self-discovery, and a HEA. Then there's the scientific jargon, changes causing ripples in time, and several layers of time all existing at once. Normally this would sound corny, but I have to say, the story is a heartwarming, fun adventure beginning and ending at the end. Give yourself A Gift of Time, you won't be sorry.

In 2011, a 26-year-old libertarian programmer named Ross Ulbricht launched the ultimate free market: the Silk Road, a clandestine website hosted on the Dark Web where anyone could trade anything - drugs, hacking software, forged passports, counterfeit cash, poisons - free of the government's watchful eye. It wasn't long before the media got wind of the new website where anyone - not just teenagers and weed dealers but terrorists and black hat hackers - could buy and sell contraband detection-free.

I honestly did not realize this was a narrative of a true story until the very end. The story is told seamlessly and had me from the minute the narrator started speaking. I’ve already recommend the read to several friends, given that, it says a lot about how much I enjoyed the book. If the dark web, the drug trade, or just ideological points of view intrigue you (or not) listen to this book. You will not be disappointed in the creativity of Ross Ulbricht, the surprising way the various government agencies worked to catch him or the outstanding way the author weaves the tale. Kudos all!!

This story was definitely NOT what I expected. It was so much more. The author deals with a particularly hard topic in the relationship between the leading characters AND she does it really well. Gleaned from personal experience the story doesn't go to far, but just far enough to be realistic, honest and soul wrenching. Sometimes we just fall in love wrong. Sometimes we fall in love right but have to deal with HARD. As someone who works with victims of abuse, I appreciated the way Mrs. Hoover dealt with the topic yet wrote a beautifully aching story of need, want, desire and pain. Sometimes the right thing is the hardest decision of all. You'll love this story of triumph over adversity, head over heart and a little bit of first love mixed in. This is my first book by Colleen Hoover, but it will definitely not be my last. I wish I could give it 10 stars.....

This is a sweet story of love, loss and family. There is not a lot of graphic sex, which was nice for a change. The story revolves around two people who come together over family trouble and end up making a family of their own. The relationship moved a bit fast for me but I find that common in most romance books. There are several "other" characters in the book and Ryan eludes to what I can only assume are the spin off stories. If your in the mood for a sexy, sweet, sincere romance novel, this ones for you. Plus Coleen Mario, the narrator is amazing! Enjoy your visit to Montana, who knows you might too fall in love with a Kendrick cowboy.

I usually pick up all of Alice Clayton's books. Some I love (like Wallbanger) some others not so much. This one is spot on and some of her sweetest writing. It's a classic girl goes away, comes home, meets boy, falls in love, and decides to stay story. The characters are unexpected, even a bit ordinary in a good way. The situations are hilarious and the narrator makes them even more funny. Shayna is spot on with the characterization! The banter between the leads is fun and realistic. There is a big HEA at the end, yea.

If you are looking for light and sweet, this is worth the credit. Enjoy your Nuts!
