This third installment in this supposed trilogy has me crazy for more and thankfully there is. Smith does not skimp on the action in this or the two previous books. Switching back and forth between the present day and X's ten year ordeal on the surface, Smith keeps your eyes pinned to the pages. He builds a craving within you to know what happens next that you don't even want to take a five minute break. Commander "Tin" Everhart and his team, branded as traitors by Captain Jordan and left on the surface, continue their search for Commander "X" Rodriquez. Tin still believes X is alive even after ten years on the surface. They use the newly discovered airship they have named Deliverance, to tract X's transmissions across the country. Unbeknownst to them Captain Jordan finds out they have a new more advanced ship and he plots to steal it away from Tin and his crew. Will Tin find X, will Captain Jordan's plot succeed and what will be the fate of the inhabitants of The Hive? This captivating book holds all the answers. Don't miss this third installment of the Hell Divers series.

Another action laced read with the Hell Divers of The Hive. Smith did it again, he reached out at the very beginning, grabbed me and held on tight till the very end. In this book, the secrets being withheld from the inhabitants of The Hive begin to emerge into the light. Tin, Layla, Katrina, Weaver and Magnolia must come face to face with some hard truths as Captain Jordan's lies catch up with him. I love that after each chapter of this book you are left thirsting for the next. They are so well written, packed with non-stop action, suspense and thrills. The characters, their lives and interactions invade your mind and keep you wondering what's going to happen next and you don't want to put the book down even for five minutes. I am so looking forward to book three.

More than two centuries after World War III poisoned the planet, the final bastion of humanity lives on massive airships circling the globe in search of a habitable area to call home. Aging and outdated, most of the ships plummeted back to Earth long ago. The only thing keeping the two surviving lifeboats in the sky are Hell Divers - men and women who risk their lives by diving to the surface to scavenge for parts the ships desperately need.

This has got to be one of the best books I have read in a while . From the very beginning it grabs hold of you and does not let go. I opted for the audio version of this book and narrator R C Bray does not disappoint. Smith has infused his book with non stop action. We are able to hone a relationship with the characters throughout this action thriller. The characters are easily likable and the story line very plausible. Smith makes you really think of what the furure may hold for us mere mortals. The story centers around the last dregs of humanity trying to stay alive aboard the last two remaining airships as the earth's surface has been rendered uninhabitable due to " the war to end all wars". Xavier "X" Rodriquez is a Hell Diver, the best they have. He and the brave others who claim this profession risk their lives to dive to the earth's surface to seek and find the items necessary to maintain the ships and bring much needed items back to the population. When the "Hive", X's ship, receives a distress call from its sister ship Aries, no one expected it to present the dangers it does and after 96 dives, more than any other diver, X may be heading to his final dive. If you like action and thrills then this is the book for you. Can't wait to start book two. Don't miss out on this great read.

What a fantastic start to a new series. This book right here was "good to the very last drop". Maggie, oh Maggie, the best character to come along in quite awhile. This beautiful non-human made you fall in love with her from the very start. In a way I felt this was Maggie's book. The book had action, emotions galore, suspense and thrills. It was the type of book that grabs you from the very start and holds onto you even after the finish. LAPD cop Scott James is unfit for duty after a shocking assault upon him and his partner Stepanie. Stephanie doesn't make it and Scott is left near death. Trying to return to duty, Scott opts for the canine unit where he meets Maggie. Maggie is a German Shepherd, a military dog, retired after being wounded and his partner killed in Afghanistan . Both Scott and Maggie suffer from PTSD and are in need of some serious healing. Together the two set out to solve the case in which Scott's partner Stepanie was killed. No one wants them near the case but these two hurting souls need to solve this case in order to cement the healing process and get on with living again. This was truly a great read and I eagerly await Maggie and Scott's next adventure.

I eagerly awaited this book about Cassiopeia and it was a total let down. Not only a confusing and implausible story line but the narrator was sickening. This was not the Cassiopeia I am used to. Why Berry wasted his time with this book I have no idea. I have heard this narrator before and no matter what she reads, it does not enhance the story. Her voice just makes me want to say "Shut the f___ up". This novella only served to enforce my abhorrence of time travel stories.

Sir John Penlyon is planning to spend Christmas at his estate with his niece and his friend Danby, the closest thing he has to family since disowning his daughter years ago. (She eloped with the parson, who was, of course, penniless.) Danby suggests that at Christmastime the estate needs the presence of small children, and offers to find some - the “hirelings” - despite Sir John’s skepticism. Three children duly arrive, and the youngest, precocious four year-old Moppet, quickly endears herself to Sir John.

What a truly delightful story. I enjoyed every moment. Richard Armitage renders a splendid narration. Ms. Braddon has written a story that will be enjoyed by the entire family. We see the split between a father and daughter expertly repaired by a faithful family friend when he surreptitiously brings the father into contact with his grandchildren during the Christmas season. His youngest grandchild, Moppet, worms her way into his heart, sets up shop there and refuses to leave. He can not help but love her in return. This is a most excellent read, highly recommended for the entire family.

It was supposed to be a nice, quiet, simple dinner with friends - but nothing is ever nice, quiet, or simple when you’re Gin Blanco, the Spider, notorious assassin and current queen of the Ashland underworld. This time around, someone seems to be targeting Stuart Mosley, the president of First Trust bank. Lots of people have grudges against Mosley, but the more I investigate, the more Mosley’s problems seem to be connected to some of my own, especially when it comes to the Circle, the evil, shadowy group that is secretly responsible for much of the crime and corruption in Ashland.

This book, although a simple delight, was just a tad bit too predictable. It is filled with too many coincidences. I did however enjoy the story immensely. To me it's just the kind of book you read when you need a break from a more intense series or genre. Larken, the "miracle orphan " is forced to accept an offer of marriage as a mail order bride or be tossed on the street by her nefarious guardians. Upon arriving at Graceling Hall, her life slides into a fairytale story, filled with amazing coincidences with an HEA at the end. This book was a refreshing break for me.
