Don't call them heroes. But these six Californian teens have powers that set them apart. Take Ethan, aka Scam. He's got a voice inside him that'll say whatever you want to hear, whether it's true or not. Which is handy, except when it isn't - like when the voice starts gabbing in the middle of a bank robbery. The only people who can help are the other Zeroes, who aren't exactly best friends these days.

I love how the reader takes on a new voice for each character. Even Ethan's voice inside him. During somber moods, she narrates with sadness in her voice and during exciting ones, she gets you excited too. She makes you feel like you're in the throng of the story; like you're a character yourself solving problems with the Zeros. The story itself is great. I liked how it had a real world vibe and solved a problem that was INCREDIBLY difficult to get out of. There was mystery and humor and just a pinch of romance. The plot was not cliche and you could never guess what was going to happen next. Didn't want to put it down. I listened through this book in about a day and a half because I enjoyed it so much.

I have been a fan of this series since it first came out with City of Bones. I love the shadowhunter world and all of the complexities it brings. By far on of my favorite book series and this one is no exception.
