The Bible is the written Word of God, and it is treasured by many. But it is also an ancient book about people and cultures very different than us. Thus, while we know we should read it, many of us have a hard time understanding the Bible.

Alexander was born into the royal family of Macedonia, the kingdom that would soon rule over Greece. Tutored as a boy by Aristotle, Alexander had an inquisitive mind that would serve him well when he faced formidable obstacles during his military campaigns. Shortly after taking command of the army, he launched an invasion of the Persian Empire, and continued his conquests as far south as the deserts of Egypt and as far east as the mountains of present-day Pakistan and the plains of India.

More teens are turning away from the faith than ever before: It is estimated that 75 to 88 percent of Christian teens walk away from Christianity by the end of their freshman year of college. Something must be done. Family Driven Faith equips Christian parents with the tools they need to raise children biblically in a post-Christian, antifamily society. Voddie Baucham, who with his wife has overcome a multigenerational legacy of broken and dysfunctional homes, shows that God has not left us alone in raising godly children.

I love Voddie Baucham. I have been looking for books that will help me be a better leader for my family. Not relying on the church to raise my girls and wife but for me to take charge and be the pastor of my house. As a new believer as I gave my life to the Lord on Valentine’s Day 2014 I was going to a bigger church that is well known around America and other countries. I was relied on the youth pastor to raise my daughters. I was not being taught how to raise my own daughters or being discipled one on one by any man there. This book really puts things into perspective. I am no longer part of that big church. I felt called to pull my family out of there . I have since began to do devotions with my family since joining this new church. Thank you so much for this book!

Using the Scriptures and applying them to your life is key to working out your own salvation with fear and trembling. What a great price Christ paid at the cross. We should be striving every day to be more like Christ.

Jesus Christ did not die on the cross so you and I could have a nice day. Ministers and teachers who water down the Gospel of Christ in order to make it more popular and appealing may be leading their fun-loving audiences down the road to eternal punishment. This book is John MacArthur's unflinching, unapologetic treatise on the modern tendency to alter the true message of Christianity in order to meet the whims and desires of a culture hoping for nonconfrontational messages, easy answers, and superficial commitments.

I view myself as a simple person and John MacArthur has a way of breaking things down that resonate with my heart. I always knew if I was to follow Jesus I would have to give everything up. I would have to get baptized, lose a lot of my so-called friends and even talk to people about Jesus. It’s all worth it and even through trials and dealing with my past sin God is faithful. John MacArthur talks about the true God in this book and I am so thankful God chose me before the foundations of the world! Thank you John MacArthur for your ministry!!!

Right now, Truth is under attack, and much is at stake. Christians are caught in the crossfire of alternative Christian histories, emerging faulty texts, and a cultural push to eliminate absolute Truth altogether. As a result, many churches and Christians have been deceived. Worse still, they propagate the deception that poses itself as Truth!
