What made the experience of listening to Blood Destiny: Blood Curse Series book 1 the most enjoyable?

Ooh tricky. There were so many things I enjoyed about this book. The narration, the action, the backstory, the gorriness (is that even a word though?) LOL.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Tough question. Hmm its a mix between Nathaniel and Marquis. I thought they were both pretty hardcore and sweet. I loved Marquis' rough exterior, but soft heart. Then again, I loved that Nathaniel was so kindhearted and helpful.

Which scene was your favorite?

There were a few. Probably the one where both sides (decendants of Jadon and Jaegger met up) or the scene when Jocelyn's partner and Nathaniel...met up-epic! I don't want to give away spoilers so I can't go further into detail.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Family, love, devotion-but not your every day sparkling vampires....

Any additional comments?

So I feel like I should speak to this just a tadbit. Jocelyn, had her annoying moments for sure. Yes, she was an agent so she was meant to be super strong and independent. However, I mean how would we all react if we witnessed some vampire torture? Or were suddenly surrounded by vampires and human weapons were useless? Duh we'd be petrified, so I think its fair to cut her a little slack haha.

This was not your typical vampire romance. Yes, there was romance, but there were also strong elements of the Urban Fantasy genre. With that said, please keep in mind that it does have a few gory fighting scenes. If you are looking for a cozy love story without the action this isn't for you. However, if you like intense action and romance, this is your book!

I definitely recommend and will be downloading book 2 soon.

Would you try another book from Suzanne Wright and/or Jill Redfield?

I don't think so. I've tried 3 times already.

What could Suzanne Wright have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The last 3 books I've heard are starting to sound exactly the same...the dialogue, action, sex... The characters behave & communicate the same no matter who it is, so really they all could have just been one person. Also, the dialogue between characters is super weak and only focuses on raunchy sex-and not that I'm opposed to a well written, descriptive scene-but Suzanne's scenes are just...well trashy.

I don't know what she could have done beside scrap the book and start over.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I don't really know if Jill did anything wrong as she just tried to work with what was given butt it did make me not want to hear her whining ever again.

Was Spiral of Need worth the listening time?

Absolutely not. Unfortunately, I was on a roadtrip and was stuck listening to this.

Any additional comments?

I don't recommend this book at all, unless you like a book with no point or substance.

Getting a life isn't always easy. And hanging on to it is even harder.... Jodi Taylor brings all her comic writing skills to this heartwarming tale of self-discovery. Known as The Nothing Girl because of her severe stutter and chronically low self-confidence, Jenny Dove is only just prevented from ending it all by the sudden appearance of Thomas, a mystical golden horse only she can see. Under his guidance Jenny unexpectedly acquires a husband - the charming and chaotic Russell Checkland.

I unexpectedly came across this book on a daily sale and it is actually worth more than what I paid for it. While I wouldn't exactly classify it in the fantasy genre, it does have a sort of magical element to it. In general though, the story was funny, engrossing, romantic, and totally genuine. Jodi Taylor is a true storyteller and Lucy Price-Lewis does her writing total justice.

This book definitely brought me joy and reminded me why I love reading so much. What a magnificent read! I can't recommend it enough.

It has been quite a while since I read/listened to a book that was just refreshing and so damn authentic. It was quite different than other books as the romance was a build up by two people who thought the other ugly. The emotion just felt real, they had depth. Also Ildico and Brishen had flaws, there was no perfect romance here.

More so than that, the book was funny. There were many moments that I smiled. It has been a while since I have wanted to listen to a book in one sitting but this one did the trick.

The narration was also wonderful. However, I will admit she took a little getting used to because there were a few words here and there that sounded off, like maybe she has a small lisp or it could have just been the accent..Idk. BUT it did not detract from the story and I thought she was awesome and I fell lin love with her storytelling. Also, she reads a love scene like nobody's business. I found myself looking around the house scared someone would know what I was listening to lol. She was amazing!

I am definitely looking forward to the next book in this series. I encourage you to listen to this one though, because I don't think you will be disappointed.

Would you consider the audio edition of Boundary Crossed to be better than the print version?

I don't know as I've never read the print version.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Boundary Crossed?

Pretty much all of the book so its hard to say. Maybe when Lex was learning about herself.

Which scene was your favorite?

I didn't really have a favorite scene, but I generally overall loved Lex's tenacity to fight for her sister and niece. She loves hard and I really liked that about her. I also liked the supporting characters as well.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Never stop fighting for those you love...

I think that works. It's early and I'm not at my most creative right now.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book. This is my first go round with this author and narrator and I think they both did a superb job. I definitely recommend this book whether it is on a credit or not.

Would you try another book from Dannika Dark and/or Nicole Poole?

Of course.

Would you be willing to try another book from Dannika Dark? Why or why not?

Yes. Currently, Dannika Dark is 1 for 1 (1 good, 1 ok). The first book "Seven Years" was so awesome that I would be willing to try again. Maybe just one more time.

What aspect of Nicole Poole’s performance would you have changed?

April's voice! It drove me crazy. She was too whiny and sounded scared of her own shadow the majority of the book. I understand her being timid is part of her character but I think narrator and author took this characteristic way too far.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Absolutely not. I wouldn't even watch previews.

Any additional comments?

I am a bit disappointed in this book compared with how good book 1 was. I could not recommend it in good concious unless it was on a sale...AND a person didn't mind listening to April's (Nichole Poole) annoying performance.
