Professional, mom and reading a little bit of everything
It was lighthearted and humorous....I enjoyed the sarcasm it was a nice break from the serious!
She couldnt deliver a line?
Sorry Heather, your stories arent funny, and could have been.
I think she is fab on Chelsea Lately, but this sees like a money grab. So disappointing after Ross Matthews book. More guidance from Chelsea and the authors producers would have saved ths dull, poorly executed lack of entertainment.
Being as I never read Heather McDonald's first book, she definitely became note-worthy after reading this book. No longer is she the girl from Chelsea Lately but she is Heather McDonald - you know the Heather McDonald who snapped on her son for overreacting to her crumbling warm-fresh-out-of-the-oven cookies. That Heather.
Great read. It isn't overly funny - but what makes it appropriately funny is how relatable she and her stories are. Must read her first book asap now!
Yes I would because its her life in the raw........warts and all!
The cookie party story.....
No, 4 sittings.
Her stories are so funny because they are relatable. She is so normal even though she is in Hollywood, so all of the stories I thought “oh, I could totally see that happening!”.
I like when the author reads their own book, even if they are not 'professional' audiobook actors. The stories are even better in her own voice.
Yes, you could! I listened in 3 days: in the car, walking around, at the store, my earbuds were glued to my ears!
If you like her on Chelsea Lately, the book is 1000times better!
I found this book to be humorous, funny, and somehow make me wanna listen to it again and again. Love couple of her stories. Can't wait until her next chapter.
The things I know for sure I am are: Christian, Wife, Mother, Daughter, Granddaughter, Sister, American, Patriot, Friend, Teacher, Student, Seeker, and Thinker. I am far from perfect but I do try to be kind, honest, honorable, trusting and trustworthy. Lover of sunshine, books, southern food, vacations in national parks, singing in my car, cookie dough and icing, and cucumber margaritas.
I might. It made me laugh out loud. I especially liked the Facebook story. Pretty darn hilarious.
I wasn't ready for it to end. I felt like I was losing a really super cool friend.
Yeah, I listened to it in 2 days.
As much as she tried to make Chelsea Handler look good I really don't think I would be able to tolerate her. I don't care how many trips she paid for her staff, she seems like she thinks she is way more important than she actually is.
I really liked the part where someone said it was totally fine that her son prefers the Ipad to actual writing. Every kid is different and it seems like at least a few people in her life are giving her sound advice.
VERY WELL DONE! Loved that the author read the book the whole way through. It was very funny!! Listened in my car and almost had to pull over a few times because I was laughing so hard.
I am only 2.5 hours into it and I am thinking about stopping. It's boring. There are a few funny parts here and there but it drones on. The story teller does not make the "funny" bits funny at all when re-telling them.
Not so much droning on about insignificant bits
I have never seen her on tv. Hope she is much better in action. Re-telling stuff on an audio book is not her thing.
I'd rate this a 3.6
Heather is clever and articulate
a few too many kid stories, would like to have heard more about the tv shows
