This book is straight up crazy! I can't say much without giving away the ending. Lot has so many twists and turns that my head was spinning.
I'm an outlier in this sentiment. I know there are plenty of people who love this book. I didn't enjoy this book. If you love murder mysteries, I would still recommend this book. Here are my thoughts anyway... By design, the book made me hate the characters. This is intentional; however, they're so awful and just plain stupid that its hard to feel any sympathy. A lot of the story's plot seems very implausible too. How could all of it possibly be planned?
I wasn't sure I would even finish this story. It took until almost half way through for it to become interesting, then had an un-smart piece that led another direction and ultimately felt completely unsatisfying in the end. Narration for the male part seemed too level; female part just annoyed me. I wouldn't recommend someone spend this much time on this story.
loved the story. scary thoughts. Nick was completely amazing and Amy was remarkable . Wow is not enough. can't imagine what Nick is going to do for next 18 yrs!!!!
Ok. So for the whole book I was glued to my seat. My iPad came with me everywhere I went, and I rarely turned off the book, usually only to sleep. I finished it in two days. There were so many twists and turns, I never knew what was going to happen or what was coming next. The last two chapters (15 minutes listening) were completely anticlimactic and seemed just wrong to me to end a book like that. All that build up through the whole book and then that??? Ugh. So that's why it gets four stars and not five. I thought the readers were phenomenal. They fit the characters perfectly.
