The Obscured Throne

The world of Alda is broken, destroyed by an event the survivors call "The Rupture". The aldyrs, magical trees connected to the soul of the world which once grew in breathtaking groves, are dead. Elf-kind, who shared a close bond with these trees, are dying out as a result. The dwarves have retreated into their mountain homes. Humans gather in crumbling settlements. Sinister, godlike beings, each uniquely horrific, exert their influences over the world. Each story is a thread forming a larger tapestry that shows the scope of the horror brought by the entity known as the Obscure Throne.

The trials of those that remain in a world falling apart... Secrets have been unveiled and their revelations don't bode well for the scattered peoples of Alda's post apocalyptic fantasy world. The Black Gnarl grows in strength. A scant few individuals, protected by the remaining life energies of the world known as the Fifth magic, seek answers to give the world hope. Among their pivotal journeys lie the stories of others caught in the grasp of the Obscured Throne's eldritch Inheritors, whose true purpose is not yet fully known.

The last chapters of the nightmarish trilogy come to a close and the remaining pieces of the terrible mosaic fall into place. Final revelations are exposed. The Rupture is a distant memory. The Throne is coming. The Black Gnarl cult rises to power, awaiting the day their labor bears its unwholesome fruit. But, a small light shimmers in the darkness, like a candle beset by fearsome winds, in the form of a small handful of individuals who challenge the Obscured Throne, Its vile Inheritors, and the Black Gnarl. No threads of this dread tapestry will remain when the Alda’s fate is revealed.
