Unfortunately for Ike Krane, his parents had a wicked sense of humor. So, early on, he decided to embrace his challenges rather than run from them, which is how he become a ghost hunter and ended up visiting Redemption, Wisconsin. The problem—trouble seems to follow Ike just as it did his fictional predecessor.

Charlie Kingsley’s tea customers have two things in common: They rave about her teas. And they have a knack for attracting trouble. There’s never been a connection between the two…until now.

When Charlie accepts an invitation for a potluck Thanksgiving feast, she immediately decides to bring dessert. Homemade pies, of course. And they look so delicious that two of the guests decide to sneak a few bites before the meal. Which wouldn’t be an issue, except they both end up dead! Obviously, Charlie didn’t poison the pies, but that’s not how it appears. Can she solve the case in time to save the day?

Redemption wouldn’t be redemption without something weird going on in one of its lakes. In this case, residents are torn between it being a Loch Ness Monster (named “Locky”) or some other water-based supernatural creature.

Charlie Kingsley is not a doctor. She is very clear about this to all her customers who purchase her teas and tinctures. But somehow that doesn't stop her customers from treating her like a doctor. Including calling her in the middle of the night to help with an emergency. What's the emergency? Her customer's daughter, Cyndi, was attacked by a...gargoyle?

Even though Charlie Kingsley is no doctor, the custom tea blends she makes occasionally produce miraculous results. Like the one she steps in to create to calm a very high-strung bride-to-be. It works, much to everyone’s relief. Until a murder sabotages the wedding...and the bride-to-be is the main suspect. Luckily, there’s one thing that Charlie is better at than making teas, and that’s solving cases—which she’s going to need to do if there’s going to be any hope of the wedding ending in a happily ever after.

Three French hens, two elves, and one Santa Claus make for merry mayhem for Charlie Kingsley and the gang. When Charlie and Pat see an injured Santa on the side of the road in the middle of a snowstorm, of course they had to stop and take him to the hospital. They assumed that would be the end of their good Samaritan duties, until a dead elf is discovered in the same area where they picked up Santa … and Santa has no memory of what happened.

Normally Darla, the ghost that haunts the Redemption Inn, behaves herself. Relatively speaking. Nancy, the owner of the Redemption Inn, swears that Darla is harmless. At least, mostly harmless. Maybe she plays a few pranks on some unsuspecting guests, but it's all in good fun. Until one of the hotel guests is found dead at the bottom of the stairs, and Darla is the one who's blamed.
