  • Part 6 - Living the Dream
    Feb 14 2026

How can we fully embrace the gift of singleness and live it with joy, purpose, and freedom?

In this final episode of the series, we explore practical ways to thrive as a single person. Building on the challenges and costs we’ve acknowledged, we shift focus to the blessings: deep friendships, being part of other people’s families, freedom to take risks, generosity, and the ability to follow God’s calling with agility and faith.

We also reflect on ways to keep our hearts healthy as single people: being honest with God about the difficulties, focusing our affection on Jesus, and living with an eternal perspective. As John 17:3 reminds us, true life is knowing God—experiencing His presence, provision, and love.

This episode invites single listeners to receive their season as a gift, embrace its unique joys, and live fully confident that Jesus alone is the prize and the ultimate reward.

  • Part 5 - Being Single is Hard
    Feb 7 2026

What does it really cost to live single—and how do we bring those costs to God?

In this episode, we talk honestly about the real challenges of singleness—not to diminish its value, but to honour the lived experience of those walking this path. While marriage and singleness are both gifts from God of equal worth, each carries genuine costs, and singleness is no exception.

Drawing from personal experience, this session explores the pain of shame, loneliness, and unmet longing—especially in moments like family gatherings, major life decisions, pioneering leadership, and the grief of not having a family of your own. These struggles are named without minimising them, and held alongside the truth that God sees, understands, and cares deeply.

This episode invites listeners to bring their pain honestly before God—to speak to Him about what feels costly, unfinished, or heavy—and to trust that His grace is sufficient for every need. You are not unseen, and your singleness is not without purpose or value.

  • Part 4 - Idol of Marriage
    Jan 31 2026

Could marriage—without us realising it—have taken a place in our hearts that only Jesus should hold?

In this episode, we take an honest look at whether the church has not only undervalued singleness, but quietly over-valued marriage. Building on the previous conversation about faith for singleness and the all-sufficiency of Christ, this session asks a deeper question: Have we begun to look to marriage to meet needs that only Jesus can fulfil?

Through personal reflection and everyday church culture, we explore how marriage can subtly become an idol—promising security, acceptance, healing, or belonging—while unintentionally reinforcing the idea that singleness is somehow “less than.” Drawing on insights echoed by Sam Allberry, we examine common behaviours and assumptions that reveal what we truly celebrate and prioritise.

This episode invites listeners—single and married alike—to pause and listen to God. Are we seeing marriage the way He does: as a beautiful gift, but not the ultimate goal? As our hearts are gently reoriented, we are invited back to freedom—where Jesus alone is our reward, and every season of life is received with equal dignity and worth.

  • Part 3 - Jesus is the Prize
    Jan 24 2026

Do you have faith for the season you’re in?

In this episode, we explore what it means to carry faith for singleness, not as a consolation prize, but as a powerful, God-given calling. Drawing on insights from Sam Allberry and Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 7:32, we discover how singleness can prophetically point to the all-sufficiency of Christ.

While marriage points forward to the ultimate wedding—Christ and His Church—singleness boldly declares something just as beautiful: Jesus is enough. A single life, lived in joy and devotion, becomes a visible testimony that Christ Himself is the prize, the reward, and the fulfilment of every longing.

This episode invites single listeners to sit with Jesus and receive fresh faith for their season—to recognise the freedom, focus, and privilege singleness can hold. As we learn to enjoy God deeply where we are, our lives begin to proclaim a powerful truth to the world: Christ is sufficient, and He is worth everything.

  • Part 2 - Breaking the Shame of Singleness
    Jan 17 2026

Why does singleness so often feel like a failure rather than a gift?

Building on the foundation that marriage and singleness are equal gifts from God, this episode confronts the hidden shame many single people carry. We explore how life stages are often viewed as a hierarchy—with singleness at the bottom—and gently replace that lie with God’s truth: our seasons are linear, not ranked, and every stage holds equal value in His eyes.

This conversation brings compassion, healing, and freedom to anyone who has felt “less than” because of their relationship status. As we allow God to reshape how we see singleness, shame begins to lose its power. In turn, we are invited into freedom, dignity, and peace—learning to receive the season we’re in as a genuine gift from a loving Father.

  • Part 1 - Gift of Singleness?
    Jan 11 2026

What is the gift of singleness and how do you know if you have it?

In this episode, Wendy rethinks what the Bible really means by the gift of singleness. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 7:6–7, she explores how both marriage and singleness are presented in Scripture as equal gifts from God—each given for a time and purpose.

This session challenges common assumptions, reframes the question “Do you have the gift of singleness?”, and offers a liberating perspective for anyone navigating single life in the church.

Whether you are single, married, or leading within the church, this conversation invites you to see singleness through God’s perspective, not cultural pressure—opening the door to freedom, peace, and deeper trust in His design.

    Nov 30 2025

Have you ever found yourself in a wilderness season — feeling stripped back, hidden, or unsure where God is?

  • Bonus - Processing Pain to get to the Promise
    Nov 4 2025

This is my most-listened-to message, recorded back in 2016—just a week after a wonderful lady in our church, Zoe Joy, passed away suddenly from cancer.

In it, I talk honestly about what it means to process pain in the presence of God and how to hold onto faith when life doesn’t make sense. It’s an invitation to walk with Him through the mystery, rather than around it.

    We explore how to:

    • Be gut-level honest with God, bringing Him our raw emotion and unanswered questions.

    • Thank and praise Him through the pain, even when our hearts are breaking.

    • Lay down our right to understand and choose trust instead.

I share from personal experience about navigating disappointment without losing hope, and how God can use seasons of sorrow to lead us into deeper intimacy and ultimately into His promises.

If you’ve ever faced moments that challenge your view of God’s goodness, this message will help you find a way to stay anchored in love, even in the storm.

(The ministry time is included in case you want to invite God to meet with you while I lead through the process)
