  • Resumen

  • the Nourished Sovereign's 'Flexing Local' podcast is connecting you to people in the community who are purposefully creating a better world for us, for our kids, for our ancestors who have come before us and for those in the future who we'll never get to meet.

We see a world of interconnected and thriving communities, living prosperous lives, abundant in health and wellbeing. We want this for you, and for every person on earth. But we need to make it happen! By inspiring you to cultivate a deep respect for your own health and the health of the land and waters around you, this podcast advocates for reconnection to Country and community, celebrating our own unique stories and connecting you with other change-makers who are leading with love and unity.

We’re promoting food security and health sovereignty with the view to changing the conversation and taking responsibility for how we show up as individuals in the world. We’re advocating for, and having difficult conversations around important issues from a place of love and non-judgement, promoting a return to living in kinship with our local community and the world at large as our First Peoples did for thousands of generations. We’ll give you the chance to digest these stories with the view to integrating practical changes in your own life which can ripple out to ensure we can give ourselves the best chance of living a life full of joy and vitality.

The Nourished Sovereign is connecting you to individuals who will empower you to become a ‘conscious consumer’. We want everyone to prosper and enjoy vibrant health, safety, connection and love with their fellow humans. We believe in the authenticity and dignity of the individual and we’re sharing the stories of inspiring people in our community who are living examples of playing their part in creating a better world for all of us.

The Nourished Sovereign also has a mobile plant tonic bar operating on Yuin Country on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia. We’re passionate about supporting local food producers, our local farmers markets and promoting food security, giving customers healthy, ethically-sourced food with an emphasis on local, organic wholefoods. We’re keen advocates of 'conscious consumption' with our highly considered, seasonal menu providing options which invite you to tune into how you are feeling in your body and decide which tonic or food option is best to support you in how you'd like to feel. We’re promoting a return to seasonal, connected and intentional interactions with our food and our community based on what is happening in the world around us.
