You can catch up as long as you're aware-- you're missing something CORRECTION: WHY SPACE IS APPEARS BLACK IN THE CAMERA: The background of space appears black, and stars are often missing from photos of Earth, primarily due to camera exposure settings and the intense contrast between bright, sunlit objects and the darkness of space. While stars are technically present, they are too faint to be captured alongside the bright Earth or Sun. [1, 2, 3] Daylight in Space: Even though the background is black, photos of the Earth or the Moon are actually taken in broad daylight. Sunlight in space is just as bright as, or even brighter than, a sunny day on the ground. I should have learned this in High School, lol, but I dropped out, LOL! So I’m learning backwards!
