  • 93. Be their parent, teacher and very best friend
    Jul 11 2025

The idea I’m exploring here is about regularly checking in with ourselves to see how we’re showing up in the relationship — are we being more of a parent than a teacher, or more of a teacher than a friend? This kind of reflection helps us understand the dynamic we’re creating, and gives us a more realistic view of the outcomes we can expect based on how we treat our horse.

Listen in to hear more about what I mean. ♥

    Jun 20 2025

No offense to all the horse loving Karen's out there!

But seriously I do get people telling me that they think their horses is stupid.

Most of the time when I hear this kind of statement I know for sure two facts:

    • The horse is incredibly smart.
    • The human got outsmarted and does not like it.

In this episode I share some real life stories about it ♥

    Jun 13 2025

Many horse owners are afraid to correct their horse — they worry it will damage the bond or make the horse stop liking them.

But honestly, the only behaviours we truly can’t accept around horses are the ones that are potentially dangerous — like pushing, biting, or kicking.

So if a horse is showing those behaviours and isn’t being taught otherwise, can we really say they liked the human in the first place?

Have a listen to hear my thoughts ♥
