My daughter Brianne Schwantes was in a research program studying osteogenesis imperfecta. We traveled to Bldg 10 every 3 months for years. Thank God for the NIH

As a practicing physician I wish I could thank Akan Alda personally for doing this series. It was a powerful reminder that good medicine depends on both compassion and good science..

Inspiring!

Thank you for telling us the stories in such a compelling fact based way. Fabulous insight into scientific evidence changing our lives so much for the better - and the leadership it took to instigate this ! Bravo to Mr Alda - doing this while living with Parkinson’s Disease - we salute you - onward for a cure for that too !

What leadership can create !

This is hands down the best audible original I’ve listened to—ever. Unknown but compelling story of NIH, patients and dedicated doctors who moved medical knowledge ahead by leaps and bounds during the past 50 years. Inspiring and fascinating. And Alda is a great host and interviewer.

Terrific feel good listen
