    Trash Streaming, something popular in Russia especially where our story takes place, is home to Stas Reeflay, a YouTube streamer who was known for taking requests from followers on what to do on his streams for money. This is known as trash streaming. The stunts usually involved drinking gross stuff and stupid stunts, but during the lockdowns of 2020, the requests became more and more violent until Stas was physically and verbally abusing his girlfriend Valentina live on his streams. On December 2, 2020, this would end in her death.
