Acerca de esta escucha
Talking about personal finance and how you don't need to pay thousands for a course to learn how to invest. You can literally teach yourself for free, or for very little.
So all these personal finance creators are really out here to sell you insecurity and the feeling that you need their $$ course to learn about investing, when you don't. That is how they make *their* money, and they need YOUR income to do it. I am not saying it is not worthwhile or valuable, but I am saying you do not need them if you choose not to go that route.
Books recommended to read, in order:
1. Millionaire Next Door* - Thomas Stanley
2. Your money or your life - Vicki Robin
3. The soul of money - Lynne Twist
4. Pyschology of money - Morgan Housel
5. I will teach you to be rich** - Ramit Sethi
6. Millionaire Teacher** - Andrew Hallam
7. Index Funds: The 13-Step Program for Active Investors
8. RRSPs - Gordon Pape
9. TFSAs - Gordon Pape
*Take with a grain of salt, as mentioned in podcast; but I have a soft spot for it, as it was the first book I ever read on money that changed my world.
**401K = RRSP and Roth IRA = TFSA
