If you're a driven, goal-oriented person, it's easy to forget there is more power in being present in each action than focusing on what hasn’t happened yet, or what still needs to be done.
I am as guilty of this as anyone. It is easy to set a goal and then think about everything that must happen to get there. We like to think linearly, logically, and the mind likes to think it knows how to achieve the things we say we want.
The problem is: when we do that we focus on lack, on not yet being, doing, or having the thing we want. So if you’re stuck in that lack-focused cycle, which feels like: “I have so much work to do”, “I just can’t get past this.” —> Today’s episode is for you.
