  • #60: Tom Moore - Lást Maps
    Dec 13 2022

How many of us spend our lives moving from job to job, hoping we will find something that fulfils us?

What if instead we could create our own job, tailor made to the interests and skills we've developed through passion and exploration?

Tom Moore of design studio Lást Maps talks us through his journey of building a life around this goal.

Lást Maps is a small design studio that specialises in heritage style ink work. The brand started with hand-drawn cartography, expanding into designing clothing graphics, label identities and logo design.

  • #59: Clare Nattress - Artist & Lecturer
    Dec 5 2022

How can art influence our understanding of things we cannot see?

Clare Nattress creates work that sits at the intersection of art and science, which turns complicated streams of data into visual communication we can easily understand.

Clare is an artist and lecturer currently undertaking a practice based PhD at Leeds Beckett University. Her works often encompass data art, performance, photography, digital practices and installation.

She considers collaborations with scientists and other researchers to be a key element in her work, and explores topics such as air pollution - which became an interest after cycling around the world and experiencing firsthand the extreme contrast between the air quality of different countries.
