  • Khelan Bhatia: I Can Fix Vulcan - Uncanny X-Men 107
    May 8 2025

Welcome true believers to X-Men Horoscopes where each week our host Lodro Rinzler is in conversation with a special guest to discuss the X-Men issue that aligns with a significant month and year from their life and what that issue reveals about their future.

This week co-host of the x-cellent podcast Homo Superior Khelan Bhatia joins our host for a massive fight between the X-Men, the Imperial Guard, a Soul Drinker and Lodro's liver.

Based on Khelan's birth month and year issue - Uncanny X-Men 107 - we get into the X-Men's chaotic fight to save reality as we know it from the Mad Emperor D'Ken. Also in this episode:

    • how the only way to save humanity was founding the Homo Superior podcast

    • Khelan is an enCyclopspedia

    • the best x-crossover

    • Lodro explains Inferno in 30 seconds

...all this and which Summers brothers would Khelan date? What does this mean for his future? Tune in to find out!

Khelan Bhatia is one of the founders of Homo Superior, a podcast with five obsessive queers unapologetically dishing about the X-Men and the MCU. The co-hosts offer smart analysis and dumb jokes weekly. Khelan's been an X-Men fan for so long that he's practically an enCyclopspedia about mutant lore. When he isn't podcasting, he has a lucrative hobby as a DJ and works in political advocacy as a campaign director. He wanted it clear in his bio that he believes Magneto was right.

This week we are joined by Scott Koblish who has done just about every job imaginable in the comics industry, although fans of this podcast likely know him as the artist for Deadpool, X-Men '92 and those amazing 60th anniversary of the X-Men covers. We talk about the first comic he ever read - Uncanny X-Men 138 - which is a perfect onramp for anyone wanting to know about the 1960s/1970s X-Men.

What does any of this mean for Scott's future? Well, this episode is one part X-Men Horoscope, one part insider look at how the comics industry works. Tune in for more!

Scott Koblish is an American Comic-book Artist who has worked on hundreds of comics for Marvel, Disney, Image, Dark Horse, Valiant, Boom and DC Comics. At Marvel, Scott worked on nearly every title they publish and just listing those titles would provide such a ridiculously long set of words that gazing upon it would make your eyes glaze over and your head hurt if he subjected you to it, but he had a 6-year run on Deadpool, where he co-created Deadpool 2099, so at least something he drew will likely outlive his heirs.

At DC, he pencilled and inked Batman: Gotham Nights, DC: Primal Age, Titans: Giant, Aquaman: the Becoming, and Flash Annual 2024 and How To Draw DC, and worked with George Pérez as an inker on Wonder Woman, Worlds’ Finest, The Brave And The Bold and Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds and inked Keith Giffen’s OMAC run. He is also the author of the book The Many Deaths of Scott Koblish.
