  • WWPP Episode 13: Week 1 of the New Year!
    Jan 1 2025

What! That first week of 2025 starts in December? Yes, it does! This allows us to get into the new year mindset, make plans for our goals and tasks to accomplish those goals. All those goals build up to reaching our different dreams in our lives. You can work on these tasks at the pace that works for you. It is not easy all the time, but progress on even a few tasks will make all the difference. Remember to ask yourself “Does this support the life I’m trying to create?” You can reach dreams, too!

  • WWPP Episode 11: What is Gratitude?
    Nov 28 2024

What feelings does this holiday have? Gratitude or thankfulness can be confusing for an over-thinker like me! I even get annoyed by the Thankful for 30 days thing people do. Shouldn’t I show gratitude all year? Gratitude is complicated for some people. This holiday has more feelings with other labels than just gratitude. Have you ever felt Food Happy? Do you feel frustration or hurt? Do you feel love or joy? Maybe we should just be silly and have fun. Togetherness and regret are going to join us today as well. All these feelings might show up. Others might be part of your holiday. So Happy Thanksgiving. If nothing else I hope you can be food happy today!

  • WWPP Episode 6: Can a dream lost ever be found again?
    Nov 2 2024

When I was 14 I sold my first puppet to an international buyer by word of mouth. That same year Jim Henson passed away. My dream of working for him was gone. I kept creating hoping there might be a way to work with his company if they managed to survive the loss of their creator. Even after college they were not hiring.

I went through over a decade of trying to make a new dream happen while endlessly feeling the loss of my biggest dream.

Can a dream lost ever be found? Can I make my dreams happen even if my life is not starting out? What does the dream even look like after so much loss?

  • WWPP Episode 5: What happens to an artist with dislocated joints?
    Nov 2 2024

    Dislocated joints?
Yes! That is the problem with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Co-morbid conditions also make my dreams a challenge. I could cope with life and not try for lost dreams. I always end up back on this path, and I am determined to find ways to handle my disabilities while also reaching my dreams.

Sacrifices are part of having success. It will not be easy, but what example would I be to my own children and others who struggle to reach their dreams? Yes, my children have the same conditions.

We will all find our dreams and the life we want. Together we all can achieve amazing things.
