In this special episode of Writing Walks, Alex is joined by a guest in Sarah Rhea Werner, of the Girl in Space Podcast, and the Write Now Podcast. They talk about a book they both read: The Ghost Tree by Christina Henry, from the viewpoint of writers when it comes to plot, writing style, characters, and the pros and cons of the book.

They then talk about writing in the "zone" or "flow" and what it's like and where it may come from.

They end the episode with recommendations for "The Fisherman" by John Langan, "The Book of Accidents" by Chuck Wendig, and "A Darker Shade of Magic" by V. E. Schwab.
