This part not like the movie

As they often are, the book is more intricate and perhaps darker than the movie. (61 years ago I had a nightmare about the winged monkeys. If you are old, you too were likely affected by the 1938 masterpiece.)
As always, Jason summarizes the book with worthy asides, perspectives and footnotes. Having only known the movie, the various wizard apparitions, wolves, telescopic eye, etc., were fascinating to me.
