The Weston A. Price Foundation's Wise Traditions podcast is for those who seek optimal health based on traditional wisdom. We believe that vibrant health cannot be cultivated in a lab, engineered through modern technology or found through “improving” nature. On the contrary, “life in all its fullness is mother nature obeyed,” as Dr. Weston Price put it. We can learn from healthy societies of the past how to live healthier lives now. The Foundation's podcast is an invitation to follow traditional food and health ways to live our best lives. Our host and producer, Hilda Labrada Gore, interviews experts on a wide variety of topics—ranging from nutrient-dense foods to improving mental health to homesteading to detoxing to healing emotional trauma to the power of sunshine and mitigating EMFs. Every episode offers the listener a way to heal, grow and live a more vibrant and happy life. Higiene y Vida Saludable Medicina Alternativa y Complementaria

  • 537: What You May Not Know About Energy For Healing Yourself And The Land With Anna Chaney
    Jul 28 2025

What if we considered a new/ancient approach for healing ourselves...and the land? Anna Chaney went out on a limb to try to find answers for her own health and stumbled upon "energy healing." And while it may sound "woo woo", energy medicine helped her resolve many chronic conditions that were plaguing her.

Anna then went on to implement ancient practices for the healing of her land. She started prioritizing "living soil" (her #1 crop). She began playing the long game by following permaculture principles and other simple, ancestral techniques to revitalize the land, make it more productive, and enable it to provide healthy veggies, untouched by artificial, chemical inputs—so that it could make better the lives of generations to come.

Most medical professionals don't read the latest studies. A lot of modern medicine is based on bad science (B.S.). Conventional medicine was never set up to promote good health; it was meant for profit.

If these statements shock you, that is part of the point. Our guests today, Dr. Jeremy Ayres and John Gusty, are co-authors of "The Red Pill Revolution" and they are on a mission to uncover the deceptive practices interwoven in modern medicine. They invite you to dig deeper to discover its dark roots and the industry that has developed around it. Listen with curiosity to learn how to take your health into your own hands and to opt out of the conventional system that is tied to the food and the pharmaceutical industry.

  • 535: Reduce Chronic Pain And Align The Body Through Nutritious Movement With Bam LionHeart
    Jul 14 2025

Why are more and more young people struggling with back pain, injuries, and chronic joint issues? Bam LionHeart suggests that just like we need to adopt a more natural, ancestral diet, we need to get back to natural movement patterns to reclaim our freedom to move with ease and pain-free. Bam is a natural movement coach and the founder of Primal Movement and today he offers insights on what is the source of our pain and how to incorporate more "highly nutritious" movement into our lives.

He discusses the patterns of movement found in crawling, walking, and running and how to reincorporate these into our daily lives. He also goes over the problems caused by our sedentary lifestyles. Finally, he suggests that it's never too late to take on new-to-us yet ancient patterns of movement that offer benefits for today and tomorrow.

As a holistic healthcare practioner, I'm wary of trendy health fads. I look for solid information.

Hilda, the host, asks all the right questions. She's as intelligent as she is curious.

There's no hidden agenda in these episodes. It refreshing to get away from sound bite logic and ego arguments.

Hilda handles opposing opinions with dignity and grace.

This is my favorite podcast!

We talk about many of these same topics at our local WAPF chapter meetings. And this show gives us lots of ideas for learning more.
