  • Better is Coming
    Jun 21 2021
Are you ready for better? Ministers and Pastors all over are proclaiming that better is coming are you prepared to receive the blessings that God has for you? As a believer we often rest on the fact that God will bless us with more than enough but are our store houses ready to receive these blessings. Kimberly discusses how she was stuck in a place of normalcy and how this proclamation for better has caused her to waken and prepare to receive what God has for her and she urges everyone that has been praying to do the same. She also reminds us that faith without works is dead referencing James 2:225-26. Take a listen Support this podcast

  • Salt or Salty
    Jun 2 2021
Salt is often used in the Bible to represent the people of God but we will look at a time when Lot's wife was turned into a pillar of salt. We will also look at the way popular culture has changed the meaning of salt. Then Kimberly explains the need to do introspection to ensure we present ourselves as Salt and not Salty or that we don't consider ourselves the salt. The book was call A Sister Away by Ranita Weems.  Scripture References are Genesis 19, Mathew 5:13-16. I created the common definitions from the definitions I found in https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/salt (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/salt) Salt-  an ingredient that gives savor, piquancy, or zest : FLAVOR a people … full of life, vigor, and the salt of personality Clifton Fadiman sharpness of wit : PUNGENCY          c: COMMON SENSE         d: RESERVE, SKEPTICISM see GRAIN OF SALT          e: a dependable steadfast person or group of people —usually used in the phrase salt of the earth The Urban Dictionary’s definitions for salt, salty and the salt. I used the more specific definition "The act of being upset, angry, or bitter as result of being made fun of or embarrassed. Also a characteristic of a person who feels out of place or is feeling attacked." Salt Used when you do something stupid. People used to say "Wipe off the salt." Then it was shortened to "salt" you would say this to yourself when you were embarrassed by something you did or proven wrong. the salt anything that will turn a smile into a frown. "Salty," when used as a slang term, describes someone who is "angry, agitated, or upset," as well as someone who is "mean, annoying, and repulsive." A more specific definition of the word, which also comes from Urban Dictionary, details it as, "The act of being upset, angry, or bitter as result of being made fun of or embarrassed. Also. a characteristic of a person who feels out of place or is feeling attacked." 3kX3jgerQQDoie2ZoWzI Support this podcast
