  • E34 | Azra Bertrand | Our Bodies Are Biomantic: On the Magic, Mystery, & Medicine of Being Alive
    Apr 27 2025
...“Our body is made of magic, with incredible powers of regenerative healing and intuitive wisdom.”— Azra Bertrand..A YEAR TO LIVETICKETS TO RISE & REVITALIZEHEARTHWOVEN SUBSTACK..Azra begins by sharing about his time alone in the Alaskan wilderness as a young man—how it awakened his primal senses and reshaped his path, connecting him to Earth and to his deep self in profound ways. We explore the long integration of those initiatory experiences, including the challenges of navigating medical school and academia while holding a worldview that often felt at odds with the mainstream.Through this crucible, Azra’s understanding of life and healing began to crystallize into what he now calls biomancy—a relational, reverent way of engaging with the intelligence of biology. Rather than “hacking” the body, he invites us to romance it, to court it as we might a river or a mountain. We speak of the body as a womb of living magic, rooted in bio-quantum processes and capable of astonishing healing and transformation.Azra shares stories from his clinical experience and reflects on the difference between domination-based approaches to healing and those grounded in slowness, humility, and connection. We explore individuation, ancestral healing, and the imaginal realm as core to true medicine—realms where image shapes reality, and where magic arises from reciprocal relationship.Find Thematic Show Notes HereConnect with Azra:WebsiteInstagramConnect with WHR:WHR WebsiteCoyotei Counsel WebsiteWHR/Coyotei NewsletterWHR InstagramCoyotei Counsel InstagramTei’s InstagramEmail - whr.link@gmail.com

  • E33 | Toko-pa Turner | Dreaming with Earth: On Courtship, Shadow, & the Imaginal Realm
    Apr 22 2025
...“Without dreams we could not survive, and although it is possible to get by without remembering our dreams, a life guided and shaped by dreaming is a life that follows the innate knowing of the Earth itself.”— Toko-pa Turner..A YEAR TO LIVETICKETS TO RISE & REVITALIZEHEARTHWOVEN SUBSTACK..Toko-pa opens a doorway into the deep imaginal world, reminding us that dreams are not mere fragments of the thinking mind, but mysterious and meaningful expressions of Nature herself. In this conversation, Toko-pa invites us to remember the ancestral art of dreaming—an embodied, reciprocal practice that has long guided the human spirit.Together, we explore what it means to live a dream-led life in a culture that prizes the measurable and dismisses the mystical. Toko-pa shares powerful insights on the loss—and return—of Sophia, the archetype of embodied wisdom, and how reweaving a relationship with the dreaming world can help us recover the parts of ourselves exiled by modernity. From the forgotten art of daydreaming to the radical courage it takes to step into the unknown, this episode moves through symbol, shadow, and silence with reverence. Toko-pa reminds us that the dreamworld is not something we own or interpret for gain, but a living realm we are meant to court with wonder, humility, and love.Find Thematic Show Notes HereConnect with Toko-pa:WebsiteInstagramBelonging BookThe Dreaming WayConnect with WHR:WHR WebsiteCoyotei Counsel WebsiteWHR/Coyotei NewsletterWHR InstagramCoyotei Counsel InstagramTei’s InstagramEmail - whr.link@gmail.com

    Apr 13 2025

“As I reflect on this past year, I’m struck by the gifts that have emerged—not only through conversations with remarkable guests, but also in the quieter, more intimate corners of my own heart. It’s been a year of deep remembering—of stretching into new territories of thought, feeling, and connection, and of surrendering to the questions.”

  • E30 | Jordi Lydia | A Radical Remedy: Reclaiming Evolution in Communion with Life
    Mar 12 2025

    ...

“Reclaiming evolution is a submission to Life, a submission to the will that is greater than our own.”

    — Jordi Lydia

    .

    .

In this conversation with Jordi, we explore reclaiming evolution—not as a march of linear ‘progress’ towards ‘perfection’, but as a revitalizing of deep-time presence and an embodied relationship with Life’s intelligence. She invites us into the vitality of unlearning, surrendering to a will greater than our own, and metabolizing grief in ways that nourish renewal.

We discuss the influence of media and technology on perception, the responsibility of consuming and creating with awareness, and the role of life-centric leadership in a time of change and trouble. Through Jordi’s lens, reclaiming evolution is both personal and collective—calling us to immerse in the elements, cultivate real human connection, and remember the creative brilliance within us.

Jordi also shares the inspiration behind creating Reclaiming Evolution, an immersive festival designed to foster deep connection and community through experiential workshops and artistry.

In the second half of the episode, Jordi flips the mic and interviews me for her festival’s companion podcast, continuing the conversation on communion, creativity, community, and the wild, heartfelt path that may lead us toward a more rooted, reverent, and regenerative future as we reclaim evolution together.

His words remind us that life is a wandering journey, and our wildness is deeply intertwined with the natural world’s squiggly, mysterious beauty.
