In the heart of the decaying Eastwick Mall, among the dust and shadows of "No Trespassing" signs, thirteen-year-old Timothy finds something that shouldn't exist. It doesn't smell like mold or wet cardboard—it smells like aggressive, artificial cherry. It smells like a birthday party you weren't invited to.

Step inside the Sugar Plum Emporium, a palace of glass, brass, and pulsing sweets. But be warned: the floor is warmer than tile, the shelves are made of bone, and the "mannequins" in the window are looking for a new friend to join their eternal display. Will you take a sample, or will you listen to the clicking of plastic joints before it's too late?
