Why Food Security Requires Systems

This week, Matt and Alyson are joined by Bailey Foster, Founder of Real Good Kitchen, and Kimberley Pettigrew, Director of Food Security Systems for United Way of Greater Knoxville. Together, they dive into what food security looks like and why it requires a systems approach as opposed to simply addressing hunger. They holistically analyze food systems from the beginning stages of food production all the way to food waste to illustrate the systematic disadvantages that lead to food insecurity.
