Why Evangelism?

Evangelism isn’t a program—it’s the storyline of Scripture and God’s heartbeat for the world. From Genesis 12 to the Great Commission, we see a God who blesses His people so His light can reach every nation. Israel’s calling, Isaiah’s “beautiful feet,” and even Jonah’s detour all reveal His compassion for all people.

Jesus sends us with His authority and His presence, and Acts 1:8 reminds us that witnessing is Spirit-powered, not personality-driven. Romans 10 shows the urgency: people can’t believe unless someone tells them. Scripture gives us examples—Philip meeting a seeker on the road and Paul speaking with clarity in Athens—while history shows the church has never treated evangelism as optional.
