When Strength Cannot Save You

Amos 2:13–16 confronts the false confidence of human power and achievement. Through vivid imagery, God declares that speed, strength, skill, and bravery will all fail when He brings judgment. Amos exposes the collapse of self-reliance, revealing that what people trust most can become their greatest weakness.
