I began listening to When in Romance approximately February 2023, beginning with episode one. I usually treat myself to one of these podcasts daily and have come to really appreciate the synopsis, recommendations and opinions of moderators Jess and Trish, who have imparted to me a deeper appreciation for romance novels than I ever achieved on my own. They spotlight the social issues included in historical romances, contemporary romances, romances of same sex couples as well as transgender couples, allowing main characters to enjoy a happily ever after, while illuminating the research in the background of each work of fiction, whether it is SFF, historical, contemporary, etc. Opinions, history, politics: it is all alive in romance books. Some are told from a humorous slant, some are suspensefull, some tell history from a different perspective than we are accustomed to seeing, but all ends well. Puts me in line for a happy day and added substantially to me to be read options, a genre I had never really examined before. Appreciate the publishing news, behind the scenes look at book covers, independent publishers, etc. Look forward to every episode. Hope you give it a listen, each episode is better than the last.
