Preston guesses the plot to Sinners (2025), a vampire film set in 1932 Mississippi. This film has loads of historical and cultural commentary, as well as an amazing soundtrack that blends Delta Blues with Irish Folk music. Making a deeply thoughtful vampire film in such a setting was a tall order, but this movie knocked it out of the park. Written/Directed by Ryan Coogler (Fruitvale Station, Creed, Black Panther) and starring Michael B. Jordan (The Wire, Friday Night Lights, Creed), Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit, Hawkeye, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), and Jack O'Connell (Eden Lake, Skins, '71, Unbroken).

In this week's episode, Emily guesses the plot to the latest Disney live-action remakes, Snow White (2025). No film in Disney's latest slate of film has been more fraught with controversies, production dilemmas, and tension amongst it's top-billed cast. Another Cult-Horror Film?!?!... Why not? This week, Preston guesses the plot to the latest film in the genre from A24, when Emily and Preston watch Opus. In the same vain as other great Cult-Horror movies like The Invitation (2025), Midsommar (2019), The Menu (2022), this film follows a Global Pop Star who hasn't been seen since he left the public spotlight in the 1990's. Now, thirty years later... he's back. And he still has an army of followers who are willing to do anything he asks. Starring Ayo Edebiri (The Bear, Inside Out 2, Big Mouth), John Malkovich (Being John Malkovich, In the Line of Fire, Dangerous Liasions), and Juliette Lewis (Cape Fear, Strange Days, From Dusk Till Dawn, Yellowjackets).
