What to expect during a Perinatal Visit

In this series, we talk about what clients can expect their KC Women's Ministry doula to go over during each prenatal visit. Today we'll be talking about the perinatal visit after you've had your baby and what you can expect such as:

- Happiness after birth doc

- Ask to tell their birth story from their perspective

- Ask if they have any questions about anything that happened during labor

- How is breastfeeding/feeding going? Baby’s latch feels good or is it pinchy? Is the baby having wet and dirty diapers?

- How’s sleeping going?

- Where is the baby sleeping? Are you comfortable with that?

- How is dad coping with the new baby?

- How are you coping with the new baby?

- How are the older siblings doing with the new baby?

- How are your eating habits?
