What to do When You Don't Have Enough

Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly.

Today we’re in 1 Kings 17:12, where we see the widow with just a little flour, a little oil, and what looked like not enough. But this episode is all about one powerful truth: when you put what you have in God’s hands, He can turn a little into more than enough.

So many people live feeling like they do not have enough. Not enough peace. Not enough love. Not enough patience. Not enough money. Not enough strength. But the question God keeps asking is the same one we see throughout scripture: what do you have? When the widow gave what she had, God multiplied it. When Jesus fed the 5,000, He first asked what was available. God always starts with what is already in your hand.

This episode is a practical encouragement to stop focusing on what you lack and start using what you do have. Maybe all you have today is a little kindness, a little patience, a little peace, or a little energy. Give that. Sow that. Put it in God’s hands. As you use what you have to bless others, encourage others, and serve others, your capacity begins to grow and God fills it again.

The principle is simple but life-changing: when you hold on tightly to your little, it stays little. But when you give it to God and let Him use it, He multiplies it. You really can start with what you have today and watch God make it enough.
