What is a VATRE and what would it do?

In this episode, CISD Director of Communications Jeff Brady interviews two members of the Budget Reduction Advisory Committee, or BRAC, Christine Kane and Jackson Hildebrand. They discuss one of the primary BRAC recommendations, a Voter Approval Tax Rate Election, or VATRE, which the CISD School Board is considering. They explain what it would do and why BRAC members included it in a five-year proposal.
