What I Would Have Missed is a podcast and movement rooted in hope—an invitation to reflect on the moments, people, and possibilities that have emerged because we stayed. Hosted by Julie Rocco, a suicide loss, suicidal ideation, and suicide attempt survivor, this podcast offers space for honest storytelling, reflection, and connection for those who struggle with suicidal thoughts, as well as for those who love and support them. Through What I Would Have Missed moments—brief reflections submitted by individuals—and deeper conversations with suicide attempt survivors, people living with suicidal ideation, loved ones, and health and wellness professionals, each episode explores what life can hold beyond moments of deep pain. The podcast also centers suicide loss survivors, who reflect with love and remembrance on the moments their loved ones have missed. What I Would Have Missed centers lived experience, shared humanity, and the quiet courage it takes to keep going—reminding us that meaning, joy, and connection can still unfold.
