What Happened to You When You Were Little?

What is it that yall encountered as kids that make yall care about games you won’t play? I’m just curious from a psychological perspective that affected yall so much. For instance for me, I’m not really as affected by these things that the game industry is doing, I just move on to the next game that looks interesting to me. I don’t spend extra time following how many people are playing the game that I don’t buy?
