Welcome to the conversation. In this solo episode of The Men’s Mental Health Series, I ask a simple but powerful question. What else are you feeling besides anger? Many men live with anger as the most visible emotion, whether it is explosive or quietly simmering under the surface. But anger is rarely the only thing there.
In this episode, I talk about how emotions often show up as a mix. Sadness, heaviness, guilt, grief, and frustration can all exist at the same time. For many of us, anger became the only emotion we were taught was acceptable to express. While anger itself is not wrong, leaving it unexamined can be destructive to relationships, opportunities, and to ourselves.
This conversation is about giving yourself permission to explore what else is underneath the anger. There is no judgment in this process. You deserve to understand what you feel and to learn how to communicate it in healthier ways with friends, family, and the people closest to you. That work starts with the conversation you have with yourself.
This episode is for men who want to better understand their emotional world and for anyone who wants to support the men in their life as they learn how to express more than just anger. These conversations matter, and they can change the way you move through your life.
