  • Black Ladies Talk: Women's History Month
    Mar 14 2026

Carolina Montesquieu, Giselle Genrally, and Christina Brown pulled up fresh from the Black Lady Summit, and we just got right into it. We talked about trying to take care of ourselves while the world feels wild, what it’s like being women in comedy right now, and honestly just joked around like we always do. It’s real, it’s funny, it’s a little chaotic — basically just us catching up and saying the things we’d say off‑mic anyway. Tune in.

In this episode, JJ Mattise joins the podcast to share the extraordinary story of surviving three near-death experiences—each one reshaping how they understand fear, resilience, and what it means to keep going when life cracks open. With honesty and humor, JJ walks through the moments that brought them face-to-face with mortality, the physical and emotional aftermath of survival, and how those experiences continue to echo in everyday life—especially in how they now think about boundaries, rest, and taking care of themselves. In this episode, JJ Matise joins the podcast to share the extraordinary story of surviving three near-death experiences—each one reshaping how they understand fear, resilience, and what it means to keep going when life cracks open.
